Reminds Us Of

B.J. Daniels Atlanta Falcons

Supercharged dual-threat quarterback prospect that can bear the load of a run game as evident by his 2,000 career rushing yards. Started prep career off catching passes as a wide receiver before taking over under center as a sophomore and finding plenty of success in an up-tempo spread attack. Can hit his marks every now and then with a simple stroke, but has proven to be more of a creator that thrives off-schedule as he fabricates chances while evading pressure. Might not be the most structured passer at this stage, but can touch the deep corners of the field and has some impressive long balls on the highlight reel. Must get better at reading defenses and cut down on the turnovers (ended junior campaign with a six-interception performance), but should be viewed as a potential gamebreaker on Saturdays that can give defenses fits with the combination of his foot speed and willingness to challenge coverages vertically. Will see an uptick in competition during senior year after electing to transfer into IMG Academy.
