Reminds Us Of

Terrion Arnold Detroit Lions

Twitched-up reactionary athlete with outstanding size/length that will warrant a look at cornerback, but could ultimately settle in as a safety at the next level. Held his own out on the perimeter in both press-man and off-man coverage his final two seasons at the prep level, totaling 21 pass break ups and six interceptions. Has proven to be a rather fluid mover with the speed and agility to match wide receivers of all different skill sets. Constantly gets to the catch point and times his breaks well. More importantly, can turn his head and locate the football in the deeper third, and has the bounce to secure the prize. Spirited tackler at this stage that will only get more confident in his skin after a year or two in a collegiate weight room. Must keep progressing and perfecting his craft, but should be viewed as a potential multi-year impact player for a Top 25 program and one of the top defensive back prospects in the 2024 cycle given his size (measured just over 6-foot-1, 185 pounds at check-in for the All-American Bowl) and off-field profile (two-time state qualifier in the high jump that has gone 4.5 on the lasers in the 40-yard dash). Will likely need some time to learn a defense and adjust to the demands of the college game, but could quickly become a regular on special teams with his attributes. Day 1 of the NFL Draft upside.
