Reminds Us Of

Jarrett Stidham Las Vegas Raiders

Sturdy frame. Checks the desired boxes when it comes to height and hand size. A confident decision maker that is capable of getting the ball to all different levels of the field. Owns a tight, effortless release. Velocity is a strength at this stage in his development. Understands how to use trajectory to his advantage. Willing to challenge defensive backs and fire into tight windows. Rather clean footwork in the pocket. Will locate hot reads, but also try to find his second and third progressions, even in the face of the rush. Not billed as a runner, but elusive enough to execute the read option and move the chains with his legs once a play breaks down. Must cut down on the mistakes at the next level like bad interceptions and get more consistent on a week-to-week basis. One of the more well-traveled quarterback recruits in recent years having attended five different high schools in a four-year span. Managed, however, to quickly learn multiple offensive systems and help lead his team to a state title as a senior playing in one of the Peach Stateā€™s highest classifications. Projects as a starter at the Power 5 level. Could be a game manager, but has the tools to be the focal point of an offense. NFL upside.
