Qua Birdsong

Three-down linebacker prospect that had a strong outing at the Under Armour All-America Game. On the leaner side as he is believed to be hovering right around 6-foot-2.5, 195 pounds heading into college, but has a projectable frame and should be able to eventually carry 225 pounds or more. Built to play in space with his straight-line speed, but can also get home on the blitz and offer some value as a pass rusher. Strikes ball carries in the open field, unleashing power through his hips. Will need to learn how to stack and shed against college-sized defenders, but already does a nice job of sifting through traffic. Should be viewed as a potential multi-year starter at the Power Five level that can help combat up-tempo spread attacks. Likely will need some time in the weight room to get his body right.
