Riley Trujillo

Dual-threat quarterback that seems to be at his best when he’s working off play-action. Owns an athletic build at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds and has a basketball background. Operated out of a modern spread attack at the prep level that had plenty of RPOs and designed runs on the call sheet. Doesn’t have a true cannon, but can zip the ball over the middle and understands how to use trajectory to his advantage. Comfortable throwing on the move and can make accurate tosses off platform. Creative as a runner when he gets to the second level and should only get better at breaking tackles after a year or two in a college weight room. Footwork needs to improve if he wants to reach his full potential, but what it takes to eventually win games on Saturdays. Likely to find most success in an offensive scheme that wants to get its quarterback involved in the run game and exploit 1-on-1 matchups.
